1970s-80s BROWN BAG SEMINAR SERIES
In 1977, WPIRG founded its popular “Brown Bag Seminars” - biweekly lunch-time sessions for the public on topics of social, technological, and environmental interest. Guest speakers were invited to present on topics of which they held expert knowledge.
A close look at the topics covered by the seminars reveal students’ interests in the most pressing issues of the considerable period between the late 1970s and late 1980s.
